Project TACT is intended to provide the MPD with SOF-Tactical Tourniquet’s and The Eleven 10 RIGID TQ Case. TACT is to broaden the effectiveness of law enforcement response to medical situations.

The City of McAllen will utilize the FY 23 local JAG funds to purchase special operations forces tactical tourniquets and protection cases. This equipment will allow the McAllen Police Department (MPD) to utilize tourniquets that provide lifesaving medical care at any given emergency scene. On a regular basis, the MPD encounters unique emergencies due to the municipality's location on the U.S.- Mexican border. Having the tourniquets and protection cases will make the MPD a versatile force that can accommodate a broader scope of emergencies.
