The Haltom City Department of Emergency Management proposes to implement the Enhanced Public Safety Equipment Upgrade Project. The purpose of this project is to enhance public safety and law enforcement operations and efficiency in the City of Haltom City. Project activities include technological upgrades through procuring new laptops and radio equipment to replace outdated and deteriorating equipment. This will facilitate streamlined data processing, efficient record keeping, and improved communication and coordination between departments during law enforcement activities and operations. Additionally, this project includes the acquisition of a body armor vest and life-threatening bleeding control kits to support law enforcement during high-risk situations by ensuring their safety and equipping them with the essential tools to respond promptly and effectively to life-threatening injuries, potentially saving lives and enhancing community well-being. Expected outcomes include improved operational efficiency and accuracy, enhanced officer safety, and effective response to life-threatening injuries and mass casualty incidents. The intended beneficiaries of this project are the residents and stakeholders of Haltom City.
