New Braunfels Police Department - SWAT Gear

The disparate jurisdictions of Comal County and City of New Braunfels will use JAG funds for gear to be utilized by law enforcement officers in a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) program. Specifically, in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding, the county of Comal releases its claim to its individual allocation of JAG funds so the full amount of funding allocated to the disparate jurisdictions will be used by the city of New Braunfels to purchase gear for the New Braunfels Police Department’s SWAT program to increase officer safety and effectiveness during high-risk operations.
