San Angelo Police Department Traffic Safety Equipment

The City of San Angelo and Tom Green County are disparate jurisdictions that will utilize the FY 23 local JAG award as follows: the focus for the San Angelo Police department will be on traffic enforcement. The grant funds will enable the department to purchase speed-monitoring equipment, mobile radio equipment for motorcycle police, and ticket writer batteries. The Tom Green County Sheriff’s department will also address the need for traffic enforcement equipment and will purchase moving radar units and body cameras. The body cameras aid in criminal investigations.
