Fort Bend County law enforcement agencies primarily seek to utilize equipment for added safety, less lethal enforcement and community safety measures. The Juvenile Probation Detention Unit will utilize new radios to make it easier for quick responses to emergencies. The District Attorney investigators are in need of computer equipment to aid in field investigations. The County Sheriff's Office is seeking a number of individual first aid kits and mobile automated fingerprint identification systems to support their field operations. The county's Constable Offices will receive eqiupment that allows for more efficiencies as well as speedier service to the community including first aid kits, additional first aid components, a radar speed trailer, fingerprint identification kits and radio accessories. Overall, the enhanced safety equipment, technology aids and comunity support equipment will help achieve better outcomes whereby law enforcement officials' safety is maintained, processes are improved and the community at large is provided with greater service and security. The law enforcement agencies represented in this application provide services to the entire Fort Bend County area, including incorporated and unincorporated jurisdictions.
