South Salt Lake Police Department In-car Video System Equipment Critical Upgrade IV program

The City of South Salt Lake will utilize FY23 Byrne Memorial JAG funds for the South Salt Lake Police Department in-car video system equipment critical upgrade program. In-car camera systems will provide for the capture and retention of video evidence from the perspectives of front of vehicle and back seat, incident/high- intensity stops, collaboration with prosecutors to increase rates of conviction/adjudication, and for video evidence to verify officer statements.
