Law enforcement equipment and computer equipment

The City of Lynchburg will use JAG funds for law enforcement equipment to be used by officers in the Police Department and technology upgrades for the Sheriff's Office and Office of the Commonwealth Attorney. Specifically, JAG funds will be used to purchase a TruNarc handheld device and specialized surveillance equipment to identify dangerous drugs and combat violent crimes. The Sheriff's Office will purchase an advanced copier/printer with scanning and sorting capabilities and the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney will use funds to purchase laptops to maintain accurate case information in prosecuting criminals to the fullest extent of the law.
