2023 Madison Justice Assistance Initiative

The disparate jurisdictions of the City of Madison and Dane County will use the JAG funds for law enforcement and technology improvements, drug court treatment services, and victim/witness services and equipment. Dane County will use JAG funds to safely store narcotics evidence in the sheriff’s office, support client referred by its drug court, and aid victims through the district attorney crime response program. The City of Madison will use their JAG funds to improve records retention practices and special events team communications in the field to promote public trust, accountability, and transparency.
