FY 2023 Macon-Bibb County Government, GAFamily Justice-Prosecution Partnership against Domestic Violence

As one partner of Macon’s Family Justice Center, the vision of the Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Domestic Violence Unit is breaking the generational cycle of violence and abuse in families in the Macon area. The mission of this Unit is to take smart approaches for the prosecution of domestic violence crimes to prevent future victimization and violence. The Smart Prosecution – Innovative Prosecution Solutions Grant will fund one specialized domestic violence investigator and an additional, specialized domestic violence prosecutor for the Macon Judicial Circuit.
