Creating Autism-Friendly Communities First Responder Training Program & Summit

The Autism Society of Central Virginia’s (ASCV’s) Creating Autism-Friendly Communities First Responder Training program provides in-person training, prevention, response information, and education on missing persons with autism or ASD, what to look for, how to approach the individual, and who to call. Through this proposal, the ASCV will offer: 1) in-person training to first responders, 2) prevention and response information and resources, and 3) community events and targeted outreach to increase public awareness.
