Veteran's Treatment Court Expansion

The Onslow County Veterans Treatment Court (VTC) in North Carolina is a post- plea, pre-sentence court. To ensure that Veterans who have been historically marginalized, underserved, and adversely affected by inequality, the VTC Team will review access and retention data to ensure that disparities do not exist in the program. Expected outcomes include a trained multidisciplinary team that develops individualized case management plans that address the treatment and recovery support needs of court participants; provision of evidence-based services; reduction in recidivism and arrests; reduced substance use among participants; rehabilitation of participants; and regular program assessments.
