Dallas County District Attorney’s Violent Crime Reduction Program

The Dallas County Commission proposes implementing the District Attorney’s Violent Crime Reduction Program. The purpose of the Dallas County Violent Crime Response team is to provide a comprehensive, coordinated strategy to combat violent crimes in Dallas County. The primary activities include hiring an investigator, creating a violent crime response team, law enforcement training, including cross-training between partners, and early case engagement, all of which are critical elements identified in the Prosecutors’ Guide to Reducing Violence and Building Safer Communities Collaboration with Criminal Justice Partners.
