City of Dillon SC Violent Crime Reduction Operation Program

The City of Dillon, South Carolina, Police Department proposes to implement the Violent Crime Reduction Operation Program. The purpose of this program is to decrease the number of murders, aggravated assaults, robberies, and forcible rapes throughout the City of Dillon with the use of technology. Project activities include hot spot policing, problem-oriented policing, use of technology for faster crime response, educating officers on the use of new technology (such as pole cameras and gunshot detectors), and coordinating outreach services through various community action groups.
