Enhancement of Real Time Crime Center

The primary goal of enhancing the city's Real Time Crime Center is to continue to decrease the fast-rising rates of violent crimes, and to increase the amount of manpower, without needing more officers. The Real Time Crime Center will also aid in identifying trends and repeat offenders and assisting officers in the apprehension of suspects. The city will utilize grant funding to expand placement of cameras to the west of Bloomfield, where most businesses are located; the east of Bloomfield, where the city limit ends; and south of Bloomfield to cover the river walk area that is notorious for criminal activity.
