Washoe Tribe Justice Center Infrastructure Phase 2

The Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California will use funding to complete phase 2 of our Justice Center complex. This project includes the construction of a modular attachment that will be permanently connected to the new Justice Center located between Highway 395 and Tribal Headquarters. During the final design of the newly constructed Justice Center facility in 2021, construction costs in the region and state significantly increased due to inflation; this scaled back the project to meet budget guidelines. At the same time, our modular building vendor provided additional solutions to capture the space and build out in a way that would position the tribe’s Justice Center campus to safely accommodate increased demand and meet our need for office space for prosecution, probation, and court-related meetings and services.
