The Harford County Sheriff’s Office FY 2023 JAG Project

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office will use JAG funds to purchase a state-of-the-art surveillance system containing three Cannon PTZ covert cameras mounted in the toolbox of a covert pickup truck.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office, Special Investigations Division is dedicated to combatting illegal drug and gun sales through covert operations.  To ensure the effectiveness of these investigations and secure crucial evidence for successful prosecutions, specialized equipment is essential.  Currently, the division utilizes a stationary covert camera system hidden within a baby car seat positioned inside a covert minivan.  However, the limitations of this system hinder investigations and pose logistical challenges.
