City of Moorhead
The City of Moorhead will use JAG funds to partially fund a second Victim/Witness Coordinator position. The City of Moorhead operates with a one-half Victim/Witness Coordinator position. Currently, this individual also performs the duties of a legal assistant and receptionist for the Prosecutor’s Office. The Victim/Witness Coordinator half-time position oversees an average of 652 cases per year based on data from 2019 through 2022. The Victim/Witness Coordinator assists both victims and witnesses in trial preparation, and assists victims in recouping financial loss related to crime. The City of Moorhead needs a full-time equivalent Victim/Witness Coordinator to provide the proper level of service to the community and to victims of all crime.
Clay County
