FY 2023 Local JAG

The Petersburg Bureau of Police aims to enhance the safety of its officers and the community by utilizing JAG funds for the acquisition of protective equipment (shields) and restraint devices. Given Petersburg's extreme challenges with violent crime and gun control, these resources will enable officers to effectively prioritize community safety while also safeguarding their own well-being. It is crucial that officers are equipped with the necessary tools when operating in the field. Their primary objective is the mutual safety of both the officers and the community.
