Newnan Police Department two way radios

The Newnan Police Department is seeking grant assistance to help purchase eight (80) new two way way radios, commonly known as walkie-talkies. The current radios are over 10 years old and are no longer optimal for use. Replacement parts are becoming obsolete and the department is in need of up-to-date communication equipment. Each police officer within the department is issued a two-way radio which they use to receive calls for service and communicate with dispatch, fellow officers, surrounding agencies, and the 911 center.
