Statistical Analysis Software Replacement/Renewal and Consulting Services for the Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System Support and Enhancements

The purpose of this proposal is to request funding in the amount of $1,999,719 to complete enhancements to California's Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System (CURES). In an effort to improve CURES, an alternate analytics tools will be considered to provide better reports and alerts to detect and prevent the diversion and abuse of controlled substances such as opioids, benzodiazepines, and carisoprodol. Additionally, funding will be used for technological services support, staff training for advanced technologies to support CURES, and travel expenses.
