FY23 Harold Rogers Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP)

The New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety (DLPS) and the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs (Division) purpose for this project is to increase the awareness and utilization of the New Jersey Prescription Monitoring Program (NJPMP), expand NJPMP educational outreach initiatives, develop NJPMP training tools, and maintain existing programmatic functionality, including the mandatory RxCheck connection. The expected outcomes include increased utilization of the program, improvement of the program's effectiveness in managing patient care, seamless continuation of all program operations, and reduced occurrences of prescription abuse, misuse, and diversion with simultaneous recognition and referral of those in need of treatment for substance use disorders throughout the state of New Jersey.
