Tribal Healing to Wellness Courts

The proposed project will focus on providing training and technical assistance to Tribal Adult Treatment Court grantees and Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation (CTAS) Purpose Area (PA) #3 grantees with Wellness Court objectives, and non-grantee tribes, to further develop and enhance Wellness Courts. Activities include providing on/offsite training and technical assistance, supporting training and conferences with THWC focused topics; an annual Enhancement Training; an expansion of tribal veteran services, and a biennial survey of the THWC field. Training and technical assistance will also be provided to new THWCs through a tribal-specific foundational training, coordination of a peer-to-peer learning program, and support for new sites to attend Enhancement Training. In addition, TLPI will provide webinars and virtual training events, develop resources and tools for the field, update and maintain the www.wellnesscourts.org website, and collaborate with other training and technical assistance partners to bring culturally specific, cost effective and content rich services to the field.
