Public Safety Equipment for Local Law Enforcement

The Marengo County Commission proposes to purchase three law enforcement vehicles for its sheriff’s department. The purpose is to ensure sheriff’s deputies have reliable transportation as they respond to emergency calls. Project activities include the purchase of three vehicles. Expected outcomes include three deputies will have new vehicles that will replace outdated vehicles with high mileage; maintenance costs will be reduced; and deputies in the new vehicles will have less down time due to repairs.
