City of Easton Evidence Storage Improvement

The City of Easton is requesting funds in order to purchase equipment and supplies for a new police evidence building. Currently, the police evidence building sits in the floodplain of the Bushkill Creek, and at least one flood has damaged evidence held in the building related to criminal activity or complaints. We are in the process of re-siting the evidence building outside of the floodplain. Whereas the current evidence building is situated in a larger public works compound, the new building will be stand-alone and will therefore require infrastructure related to security and police functionality such as fencing, alarm/security systems, door access systems, and secured storage.
