Patrol Boat Replacement

The Board of Harbor Commissioners for the Harbor of Portland Maine proposes to implement Patrol Boat Replacement. The purpose of the project is to replace a harbor master vessel that is critical to the Commission’s ability to continue providing necessary security services in the port. Replacing aging assets will greatly enhance safety and capabilities for the Commission’s personnel, in addition to continuing to provide adequate security coverage for all who use the harbor for commerce and recreation. The new boat will be used daily to directly support the Commission’s ability to carry out its mission, educate the boating public, respond to developing situations, and provide the level of reliability that is necessary in Maine’s largest port in collaborations with agencies around the harbor.
