Real Time Crime Center (RTCC)

The Birmingham Police Department, (BPD) is determined to improve our community’s response to violent offenses, specifically gun violence.  BPD is faced with the challenge of identifying offenders and locations of gun violence within the city.  The Birmingham Police Department places priority on camera surveillance, training for our real time crime center employees, and other advanced tools and methods used to identify violent offenders and assist victims.  These additions to our crime fighting toolbox will assist BPD with reducing crime within the City of Birmingham.
