Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $380,000)
The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) is seeking funding to undertake a comprehensive upgrade of its existing CCTV system, which encompasses 2,968 analog and IP cameras. The current Network Video Servers (NVS) are outdated, and the camera licenses have expired, creating an urgent need for modernization. This proposed project involves the installation of state-of-the-art Network Video Recorder (NVR) Servers, Failover Servers, and an Enterprise Server Manager.
This project includes a five-year maintenance agreement that covers all necessary labor, materials, tools, and safety equipment to ensure the system remains fully operational and up-to-date. Additionally, the agreement includes the renewal of software updates and camera licenses, ensuring the system remains at the cutting edge of technology. By upgrading to a modern, reliable CCTV system, UMMC will enhance its security infrastructure, ensuring compliance with all legal and industry standards while reducing long-term operational costs. This initiative is crucial for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patients, visitors, staff, and students at UMMC.
