Community Safety Network Integration

The University of Hawaii (UH) Manoa Department of Public Safety (DPS) is building a platform to integrate security-camera feeds, including alarm and emergency notifications from surrounding areas and community partners. This project supports the entire UH - Manoa community and its neighboring communities. The UH – Manoa is participating in the Honolulu Police Department’s FUSUS system, which integrates safety assets from the surrounding community, including surrounding businesses and schools. As part of this program, UH-DPS plans to expand and upgrade its security infrastructure and expand its wireless network for security.
