Public Safety Enhancement Project

The City of North Las Vegas will use this funding to enhance the safety and security of the citizens of North Las Vegas through equipment and technology upgrades. The North Las Vegas Police Department (NLVPD) conducts joint operations with federal, state, and local partners. The requested upgrades will enhance the capacity of the growing city in multiple divisions throughout NLVPD to include its Digital Forensics Lab, Backgrounds, SWAT, Area Command Offices, Traffic Division, Animal Protection Division, Community Oriented Policing, Corrections Division, Cross Departmental Communications, and Training. An increase in its capacity will help foster existing agency relationships, increase public safety and transparency, and promote community trust.
