Police Negotiation Response Vehicle

The Peoria Police Department’s Crisis Negotiation Team is seeking funding for a response vehicle. This will improve the city of Peoria’s overall response capability to include high-stress public safety incidents and other large events throughout the county and state. The negotiation response vehicle will be used to defuse potentially life-threatening crisis situations involving suicidal subjects, armed subjects with hostages, barricaded subjects, and other various crisis situations. The Peoria Police Department regularly assists other agencies with mutual aid and joint operations.
