BJA 2024 Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands JRJ Grant Program

The goal is to assist in recruiting and retaining qualified attorneys to enhance the effectiveness of the criminal justice system in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. This includes providing student loan repayment assistance to attorneys in the Public Defender's Office and the Attorney General's Office. The program encourages individuals to pursue and continue employment as Assistant Attorneys General and Public Defenders, helping to increase stability and confidence in the criminal justice system by retaining qualified attorneys and offering student loan repayment for eligible John R. Justice Program applicants.
