The Knik Tribe is a federally recognized tribe located in Matsu Valley, Alaska. With this funding, Knik Tribe will implement a planning project to address improvements to their justice system intended to restorative practices, victim services, and engagement. The tribe's goals include developing of an operational tribal court; reducing incarcerations through culturally appropriate interventions; reducing recidivism through collaboration of court and tribe.
