The Richmond County Treatment Court Substance Abuse Driving Under the Influence Treatment Program is seeking federal grant funds under the Bureau of Justice Assistance FY2024 Adult Treatment Court Program to enhance their program. This program is a pre- and post-adjudication program for individuals charged with a driving under the influence offense. The court aims to enhance its substance use disorder treatment services for nonviolent offenders. The enhancements include expanding substance abuse counseling sessions to weekends, increasing the frequency of lab testing (including weekends), and bolstering community policing supervision. Additionally, the program plans to offer job readiness training, housing and childcare assistance, and wellness services to support mental health.
