Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $678,332)

The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council is applying on behalf of the Lucas County Treatment Court (LCTC) to implement the 2024 LCTC Enhancement Program. The purpose is to provide LCTC participants access to a home-based family therapist, peer recovery supporter, and randomized drug testing during the weekend in Lucas County, Ohio. The home-based family therapist funded through the LCTC Enhancement Program will provide therapeutic services to LCTC clients and their family members to address the harmful impact of substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders on the family unit. The peer recovery supporters will be incorporated into LCTC in accordance with All Rise's Incorporating Peer Recovery Support into Treatment Courts: Practice Guidelines for Treatment Court Professionals. Expected outcomes include providing grant-funded services to 200 LCTC participants during the grant period. Participants of the LCTC are the intended beneficiaries of the project. Subrecipient activities include Ohio Guidestone and New Concepts Treatment Agency.
