The Cowley County Drug Court proposes a post-adjudication adult drug court project. Goals include hiring a full-time drug court coordinator, expanding the current drug testing panel, increasing access to Moral Reconation Therapies, implementing partnerships for medication-assisted treatment services, adding a testing site, instating an alumni group, and RePath for monitoring. Over four years, 160 individuals will receive services. The length of the program averages 18 months (14-24 months). The target population is adult non-violent felony offenders who are assessed to be high-risk and high-need with substance use disorder at sentencing. All three medication-assisted treatment services (methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone) are utilized.
