Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $900,000)

The purpose of this proposal is to create an adult drug court based in Marshall County, Illinois that serves residents of Marshall, Putnam, and Stark counties by offering treatment services; case management; probation supervision; incentives and sanctions; and recovery support services. The drug court will be pre-adjudication and post-adjudication and anticipates serving 35-55 participants over the life of the grant. Program length will be a minimum of 18 months and a maximum of 24 months, with the anticipated average of 20 months of program participation. A risk and needs assessment to determine eligibility will be conducted with the target population including those with moderate to-high and high risk and high needs. Each county has access to all types of medication-assisted treatment services and will look to expand current services and encourage medication-assisted treatment usage where appropriate.
