The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) plans to allocate the funds for the Violent Gang and Gun Crime Reduction Program, also known as Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) to support the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) for the Southern District (SDFL) in efforts to reduce violent crime including but not limited to, felonious firearm crimes and criminal and transnational gang violence and to prevent future criminal activities in the hot spot areas within the SDFL.
The PSN grant strategy will address the primary crime driver which is the continued threat of violent crime in the targeted enforcement areas (TEAs).
