BUILD Violence Prevention Initiative

BUILD, Inc. seeks to implement the Stop School Violence Initiative in the underserved communities of Humboldt Park and Garfield Park. The project aims to mitigate school violence and establish a safe educational setting in these Chicago public schools. Key project activities include delivering conflict resolution training, organizing mediations, providing mentoring, and other violence prevention services. Anticipated outcomes include enhanced conflict resolution skills, improved school engagement, and the cultivation of a secure school environment. The targeted beneficiaries of this initiative are Black and Brown youth who have historically experienced marginalization and the adverse effects of gun violence and disinvestment. This project will be adminsitered by prevention specialists, therapists, and intervention specialists from BUILD Incorporated.
