Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $23,970)
The SAA will coordinate a meeting with representatives of the RI Department of Corrections (RI DOC) and the RI Department of Children, Youth & Families (RI DCYF) and the Rhode Island State Police to discuss the needs each agency has to come into or maintain compliance with federal PREA regulations. Identified needs, if any, will be addressed with FY-2024 Byrne/JAG PREA Re-Allocation funds.
Once the Public Safety Grant Administration Office has developed the plan and budget to expend the Byrne/JAG FY-2024 PREA Re-Allocation funds, it will contact its JAG PREA Program Manager to request a grant adjustment modification to approve the plan and budget.
The SAA fully understands that a forthcoming FY-2024 JAG PREA Re-Allocation award will be special-conditioned to “hold funds” pending BJA’s approval of the submitted program plan and budget.
