The Paulding County Board of Commissioners proposes to implement the Paulding Body- Worn Camera Project. The purpose is to develop law enforcement safety, community trust law enforcement transparency and accountability, and develop an efficient and effective program that brings fairness to both the deputies and the community while reducing investigative time and cost. Project activities include establishing town hall meetings to bring information to the community and answer any questions the community might have. Expand and develop program policies that will serve to develop accountability and transparency as well as creating an efficient process through training and implementation of the Body-worn cameras. Expected outcomes include increasing community Trust and involvement, lowering complaints through a more accountable and transparent program and create a more efficient and effective evidence-based account of interactions between deputies and suspects.
