Fort Dodge Police Department / Webster County Sheriff JAG 2024 - 2025 Project

The problems to be addressed in this grant cover the topics of officer safety equipment, crime monitor and recording equipment, and investigative tools/equipment. This grant helps identify areas that can better help police officers perform the duties that are expected of them and in a manner that is keeping up with modern law enforcement techniques and safety. New equipment and techniques are vital to managing law enforcement and the growing sophistications of criminal elements. Their city has a population of 23,084 while the total population of Webster County Iowa is 34,599. They have a rather large crime rate in our area when compared to other areas our size. The main areas of crime include drugs, assaults, and theft.
