To provide the necessary body armor to law enforcement as necessary for the commission of sworn duties

The City of Valdosta will use JAG funds for equipment.  Specifically the City of Valdosta will use JAG funds to requisition the appropriate body armor to ensure the safety of City of Valdosta Police force during the duties necessary to keep the public safe.  The primary function will ensure the safety of the officers and all civilians within the City of Valdosta so that the general public will continue to benefit from the emergency services provided by the City of Valdosta Police force.
