Dorchester County will use FY24 Local Edward Byrne Memorial JAG program funds to purchase equipment for the Traffic team and combination body armor for the Detention Center.

Dorchester County will use the FY 2024 Local Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program funds for Law Enforcement Programs to purchase law enforcement equipment for the Sheriff's Office Traffic team and law enforcment body armor for the Detention Center.  The enhanced equipment capabilities will reduce irresponsible driving in problematic areas.  The bullet resistant and spike resistant body armor will reduce potential injuries to Detention officers.  Dorchester County's FY2024 award is $19,338.00.
