To equip one vehicle with a Starchase system

The Bristol Connecticut Police Department is seeking $10,072.00 to procure and install a Starchase Guardian VX vehicle mounted launcher system through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant FY2024.  

Using the StarChase system the department could utilize pursuit management technology (PMT) to monitor ongoing vehicle pursuits, provide an alternative apprehension method, and/or to reduce the speed and duration of pursuits. The deployment of PMT is intended to mitigate the risk of injury to persons and/or damage to property while increasing the probability of successfully apprehending suspects.
