The project shall provide partial funding for the purchase of a new tactical robot for the police department after the prior unit was shot by a suspect and destroyed.

This funding will be used to partially fund a replacement robot for the Town of Summerville Police Department SWAT team. The robot will be used during multiple high risk situations to protect our officers and keep them out of harms way. The robot that was in use prior to this was destroyed by gun fire from a subject involved in a standoff with our officers and this will replace that unit.
