FFY 2024 Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (Local Solicitation) - Salisbury (MD) Police Department

The Salisbury Police Department proposes to use the allocated funds to purchase Motorola Portable Radios.  The Department currently utilizes Motorola APX 6000 Portable Radios.  Motorola cancelled production of the AN Model of the APX 6000 radios as of December 31, 2016.  Subsequently, the extended support for these legacy radio models ended December 31, 2023.  Of the (113) one-hundred thirteen portable radios currently in use by the Salisbury Police Department, (109) one-hundred nine of the portable radios are the AN Model.  Therefore, the Department wishes to utilize the allocated funds to purchase newer model APX 6000 radios, to replace the AN Models that have reached the end of their support lifecycle.
