Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $36,802)
The City of Sanford Police Department's Strategic Services division has propsed purchasing much needed forensic equipment.
Krimesite Capture System - This is a system that would use a computer, camera, and software with our already purchased Krimesite (the RUVIS) in order to capture latent images. As of right now, we struggle to do this, and haven’t been able to photograph items to the level of quality Seminole County Sheriff's Office needs. This set up would fix that. This would be an absolutely phenomenal piece of equipment to have, and would up our rate of collecting high quality latents on all sorts of evidence.
Nomad Prime Portable Lighting System – White from TriTech Forensics:These are portable lighting systems, comes two per set- would request three sets (for a total of six lights).
Hammerhead Forensic Light Kit from TriTech Forensics --This is a kit that comes with four alternative light sources, rechargeable batteries, and the required filter lenses. Ideally, purchasing four would be wonderful. One kit for the lab, and one kit per tech.
We are also seeking to purchase: One- Nikon D7500 DX-Format Digital SLR Body Camera; Three- Garrett CSI Pro-All Terrain Metal Detectors; Three- Kaleidoscope Fusion Bullet Path Reconstruction Kit; and 110 -First Response Evidence Markers.
