Dothan/Houston County Technology Advancement and Equipment

The City of Dothan will use JAG funds to purchase law enforcement technology improvement and equipment. Specifically, the City of Dothan will use JAG funds to equip the Police Department’s Special Response Team with an electro-hydraulic breaching kit to improve public safety and reduce crime. Additionally, the City of Dothan will use JAG funds to upgrade the jail’s biometric identification system for the fingerprint workstation to improve operational capabilities and enhance overall security.  

The disparate jurisdiction of Houston County will use JAG funds to install three (3) digital in-car camera surveillance systems in deputy vehicles to promote public trust, accountability, and transparency.
