Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $46,731)
The City of Greenville, NC will use JAG funds for supplies and equipment for the Emergency Response Team. Replenishing and replacing expired munitions ensures our teams are equipped with reliable, up-to-date resources that comply with safety standards, helping minimize injuries and mitigate risks during emergencies. This investment not only enhances operational capability but also supports the department’s commitment to using reasonable and responsible force in challenging scenarios
The County of Pitt will use JAG funds to purchase and install License Plate Readers (LPRs) at four locations throughout the County. These cameras are used for capturing investigative data such as vehicle registration information, vehicle description, and geographical location. They will also purchase two Analyst Notebook softwares. This software will allow data analysts to create visual relationships between data that is either entered manually or imported from other sources of data. A chart can then be created, shared, exported and distributed within the agency for investigation purposes or externally for prosecution. The Pitt County Sheriff Office intends to use this software to depict relationships between persons of interest and crime patterns.
