Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $47,050)

The city of Allentown will use JAG funds for the purchase of a workflow management software for the Allentown Police Department. This software will allow the departments Property Officers to better manage the processing, organization, and maintenance of criminal evidence. The department will also receive an additional set of portable weigh scales, used in the weighing of commercial vehicles, in order to support the department’s ability to enforce roadway regulations.

The county of Lehigh will use JAG funds to purchase technology equipment for the Assistant District Attorney’s office; specifically, the county will purchase laptops and hard drives to improve its ability to handle and process criminal cases, present and manage evidence, aid prosecutors in legal research, and improve the overall efficiency and automation of the office.
